My Goals for 2024
With each new year, we all set new goals. Many of those goals don't last more than a few months, but it is still important to set them. If you think about it, we could draw a line in the sand and set these goals anytime we like, but something about a fresh new year gives us new inspiration. Also, writing these goals and sharing them, provides a level of accountability.
Here are a few goals that I have for myself in the new year:
- Make lasting memories with my family
- Visit two new destinations with my wife
- Obtain my CompTIA Security+ Certification
- Obtain my CompTIA CySA+ Certification
- Obtain my CompTIA Linux+ Certification
- Volunteer to help 50 people learn to use a secure password manager
- Build a strong network on LinkedIn
- Build a strong network on Twitter
- Learn to become proficient with Kali Linux
- Learn to become proficient with the Metasploit framework
- Volunteer to help 50 people establish their digital assets plan
Some of these goals may change over the coming months, but these are what I have on my mind right now. I think that it is important not to become discouraged if you aren't able to achieve some of your goals. There will be ups and downs, but each morning is a new opportunity to refocus as needed and press on.
