Brainstorming and AI

Personal projects I built with Claude code

Recent Projects:

I was using Claude Code one night and decided I would create for myself a single dashboard where I could access all of my OSINT resources. I was simply looking for a way to be more productive.

Once Claude built the first iteration, I started thinking about ways to keep refining it and eventually share it with others. There is no shortage of OSINT tools and resources out there, which is great, but it can also be a bit overwhelming. My thought was that I could create a simple dashboard to help keep everything organized and categorized.

The OSINT community is incredible. There is no shortage of talented people to learn from, and that culture of sharing is one of the things that makes it so special. I enjoy passing along anything that helps others work more efficiently or sharpen their skillset. I am still relatively new to OSINT myself, but I make it a point to learn something new every day and share it with others whenever I can.

One thing worth paying attention to when exploring OSINT tools is cost structure. Knowing whether a tool is free, freemium, or paid matters for more than just your budget. Yes, you need to understand what financial investment may be required to get the information your investigation calls for. But there is another side to that coin: the lower the financial barrier to entry, the easier it is for bad actors to access your information, or that of your clients. That context changes how you think about exposure and risk.

AI is moving at a pace that is hard to keep up with, but it is genuinely exciting. If you can think of something that would make your day-to-day work easier, you can simply ask AI to build it. That is both remarkable and a little unsettling, depending on how you look at it. For those of us who are always coming up with ideas but rarely have the time to act on them, it is a game changer.

If you have an idea, build it, even if it is small and just for you and your family. I recently built my own Kanban board for our household. We all have home projects that seem to linger forever without any real progress. Now everything is in one place, visible to everyone, and we can tackle projects as a team instead of letting them pile up. I am a firm believer in teamwork, and I know firsthand how discouraging it is to look at the same unfinished project week after week.

Local Beach Conditions

I like to know what the ocean temperature is locally and get tired of looking it up. Plus we have a lot of beach warnings for rough conditions and rip currents. I decided to compile all of this info into a single page I could glance at each day. I also decided to add sections to see if large sharks which are being tracked have been observed in the area, as well as State Park info for that area.

This is simply a static HTML file that I hosted on my Fastmail filesystem. It is clean and easy and I can quickly add any features I think of.

What have you built with AI? I would love to hear about some of your projects.
