Unemployment - 90 Days In

It has been 98 days since my full-time position was eliminated. When I was let go, I had mixed feelings. I was working in a position with no opportunity for growth, but at the same time, this job offered me stability and security. We live on a tight budget, but I was able to provide for my family.

I then experienced another feeling, one of excitement. I was excited for what may be in the future for me, and what doors may soon open. I have been networking hard for past few years and I was optimistic that I would be able to find a full-time position within a short time.

Since then, I have been working hard to provide for my family and keep the bills paid. I currently have 4 part-time jobs. I have my Private Investigator business, where I have been doing surveillance work. I do contract work for Quilligence, here in Florida, where I conduct Due Diligence and threat assessment investigations. I work part-time doing IT support for the local municipality and Police Department in my community. I also work with my brother a few days each week doing electrical work. We both attended a great trade school in New England where we were trained as electricians and my brother is now a licensed electrical contractor. It has been fun working with my brother and helping him get caught up on his heavy workload. The heat has been tough, I haven't worked in the trade for many years now, so it is taking some adjusting.

I have also been enjoying some vibe-coding and have created several useful tools and platforms. Here are some of my projects.

Although I have been working several part-time/contract jobs I am still pursuing a full-time remote position that will allow me to use my Law Enforcement background and OSINT skills to do good. Although things are tough right now, I am faithful that a door will open soon that will allow me to obtain health insurance and benefits for my wife and I.
