My top 3 YouTube channels

My top 3 YouTube channels

Let me start by saying there are a ton of great YouTube channels out there. In my early days of learning, I watched mostly HAK5 all the way back when Darren Kitchen and Shannon Morse lived on the East Coast. I am grateful for all that I learned from them. It is amazing to see how they have both come, they are extremely talented!

Fast forward to 2023, I still rely heavily on YouTube for learning new technology skills and services. This year I have found three new content creators that are very talented and have great channels. These three don't ramble on with long intros and useless info, they get straight to what you want to learn. They make it easy to understand and walk you through every step. If you haven't heard of either of these guys, I highly recommend you check them out!

NetworkChuck is a great guy, really funny, and stays on track with what you came to learn. He has some really cool projects and I have implemented several of them in my daily flow. This is his latest video:

David Bombal is very talented, has a wide range of topics, as well as interesting special guests like OccupyTheWeb. He has some great playlists like "Mr.Robot" hacks and OSINT videos. This is his latest video:

John Hammond is a well-known hacker (I don't know how I just discovered him) John is very talented and does live CTF videos in real-time. He is way over my head on a lot of stuff, but I love watching his videos!

Although I don't watch it on YouTube, I need to mention my favorite and most listened-to podcast Security Now! I have been listening for over 15 years, almost since the beginning. Steve Gibson is very talented and I have been a fan of Leo Laporte since way back when he had the TV show "Screensavers". (Sidenote, I love researching my Genealogy and I have some Laporte's in my family tree. It would be so amazing if we were related!)
